One pearl contains:
Norwegian Cod Liver Oil 400 mg
Vitamin A 1250 iu
Vitamin D 135 iu
DHA 40mg
EPA 35mg
CLO-3-Pearls:
CLO-3 softgels contain Norwegian Cod Liver Oil which is high in DHA (DocosaHexaenoic) and EPA (Eicosa Pentaenoic Acid), Omega-3 fatty acids, essential for heart and skin health. CLO-3 provides a natural source of vitamin A and vitamin D. Vitamin A is an antioxidant that reduces inflammation, aids in prevention of eye related disorders, helps fight cancer, supports brain health, and is important for hormone production. Vitamin D supports important functions of all cells, and is involved in healthy bone metabolism. Vitamin D is essential for the absorption of calcium.
CLO-3 and BIO-8 are a team; in order for each of them to be complete and balanced, they each must be given. The reasons they are in two separate bottles are: 1) BIO-8 contains vitamin E, and CLO-3 contains vitamin D. If both are given at the same time they inhibit one another. 2) CLO-3 is best absorbed in its natural oil form, rather than go through additional processing of being dried into a powder.
BIO-8 is to be mixed in with food, and CLO-3 is to be given with salted butter later in the day as a treat. It is their Butter Sandwich.

Your dog will not have a problem with vitamin A toxicity. You would have to give a 10-pound dog 10 CLO-3 soft gels a day for a week to cause vitamin A toxicity. I mention this because I very often get the question about vitamin A toxicity.
Fish oil and Cod liver oil are two different oils; they have very different levels of Omega 3s and vitamins A & D. It is essential that Cod liver oil is given to your dogs. Do not give fish oil instead of Cod liver oil; they must have the extra vitamin D in Cod liver oil.
